Financial Assistance
Since 1995, Uzbekistan has used IMF resources on two occasions in support of the Government's economic programs, including under the Systemic Transformation Facility (STF).

Technical Assistance
The IMF has provided Uzbekistan with technical assistance in a number of areas, including public expenditure management, tax, and customs, monetary accounting system, monetary policy/central bank organization, and the statistical area.
The IMF Institute has provided to Uzbekistan officials in the areas of financial programming and policy, techniques of financial analysis and programming, external sector policies, and balance of payments statistics, among others. Uzbekistan officials also have attended courses and seminars offered by the Joint Vienna Institute in areas such as macroeconomic analysis and policy, public expenditure, central bank accounting, fiscal policy management, banking supervision, payment systems, and government finance and other statistics.
